Information Regarding Sealcoating Your Pavement

Surprisingly, many home owners, property owners, and maintenance workers know very little about the important aspect of sealcoating. Sealcoating is a general term used to describe applying a top coating, or protectant coating of material over an existing asphalt pavement. Asphalt pavement is made up of rock, sand, gravel, and a binding agent to hold it all together. The binding agent is a by-product of the distillation process of certain types of crude oil. As asphalt ages and this by-product breaks down, unfortunately it loses its ability to bind, or hold together. Maintaining this binder is paramount in pavement maintenance. As one would expect, without it, the asphalt will begin to break down. The most common causes of binder degradation are rain, ultraviolet rays from the sun, and chemicals such as antifreeze and car oil.sealcoating your pavement

As asphalt ages and loses this binder, the pavement will start to degrade. When this process begins, a very common warning symptom is piles of small rocks and sand congregating in the low areas in pavement. To reduce this harmful process from ruining pavement from rain, many people choose to apply a protective layer, or a seal coat, over the pavement to extend the life of the parking lot or driveway and also to prevent degradation. Additionally, when sealcoating products are applied to manufacturers’ specifications, they provide a slip resistant surface with a deep satin black finish which beautifies the parking lot or driveway.

Sealcoating materials are typically either coal-based products or acrylic based emulsions. The sealcoat material is in a liquid-water based formulation of one of the above emulsions, then mixed with water, silica sand, polymer additives, and other fillers and solids to create the final product. The sealcoat can then be applied by several different methods: by brush, spray method, or by squeegee. The process should be performed by a professional.

To properly maintain the pavement at a home or business, a sealcoating maintenance program must be in place. Maintenance will more than double the life of the asphalt, saving the owner hundreds of dollars down the line and making the property look fresh and appealing. Repairing asphalt pavement after it has begun to degrade is expensive, so it is sensible to protect the pavement by sealcoating before any long term damage occurs for only pennies per square foot. Applying this protectant every two to three years will certainly extend the life of asphalt pavement for a minimal cost compared to replacement or repair. When applied correctly by a professional contractor, sealcoating prevents oxidation, stops weather damage, and beautifies property.

SEO Tutorial – 5 Effective SEO Techniques

SEO tutorial 1 – Keywords

Keywords are best described as words that people type into search engines to find the result they want i.e. ‘How to build a blog’. If you are writing say a blog post it is important to enter keywords multiple times within your text. Why? Because the more keywords that are used, the more relevant your website will appear to Google for its searchers. Notice when you type something into Google all the results have your searched words in bold… Keywords. To select your keywords all you basically have to do is create a mind map, write down words that are applicable to your site and relating topics (keep out irrelevant ones like ‘and’ ‘on’).Checkout get redirected here for more info.

Please note not to overly plaster your text with keywords. If your keywords are occurring too many times Google may see this as spam and actually harm your visibility.

SEO tutorial 2 – Content Creation

If you are running a website and not a blog, it will be useful to add a blog after all. As you write posts about your niche the number of keywords you use on your site increases which can rank you higher on the search engines. More keywords means that your site can be more relevant in the eyes of Google. Not only that, each blog post has its own unique URL so your site will have a larger amount of links that can appear on the search engine.

As well as relevance Google wants to provide its searchers with the best, most up to date content. So if you are regularly updating your website with information i.e. blog posts, you can score some additional SEO points.

SEO tutorial 3 – Back links

A back link is basically a link to your website that appears on another website. This links back to your website hence ‘back link’. Back links are important for SEO because if Google can see that you are linking to multiple sites (which it does) it will believe your site as a relevant and higher authority, ranking you higher. You can add back links on posts you provide on other blogs, forums etc.

Beware! Only provide back links to sites that are already popular and rank high on the search engines. If you link to ‘crap’ sites Google will think yours is crap to.

SEO tutorial 4 – Social media

It is said that implementing social media onto your website helps boost rankings. Visitors can ‘like’ your website creating more links which will go towards your link building.

If your website has a lot of Followers Google can see you as a high authority website which can also boost your ranking. Ignore buying hundreds of thousands of followers as if there is no consistency in the followers you get, the chances are Google may pick up on this and actually harm your ranking.

SEO tutorial 5 – mobile optimization

This is something new to the SEO tutorials due to the increased use with smart phones. Make sure your website is optimized on mobiles. If your website is properly usable and viable on multiple devices Google can boost the rank of your site compared to others as you can provide a platform others can’t.

Develop Successful SEO Strategy

Placing the bulk of your business’ marketing efforts online can at first seem like a daunting task, due to the myriad of available SEO techniques and marketing methods necessary to get a website up to prominence within its niche. You could opt for a combination of pay-per-click (PPC) advertisements, keyword-targeting for direct search engine rankings; article marketing and guest blogging, a robust program of content marketing, blog commenting for backlinks, email marketing and social media. There are several more; but they tend to fall reasonably well underneath the previously-mentioned methods.I strongly suggest you to visit this content to learn more about this.

The trick, of course, is to form an SEO strategy to catalog and handle each of the marketing tactics you intend to use under a single umbrella. This will further help you identify and obtain the proper search engine optimization metrics and software tools to use in order to follow and understand the progress of your website in the search engines. Whether the bulk of your program is comprised of social media or direct and multiple link-building methods, you will need to know the measurable effect they’re having on your site over time to truly compete with other vendors in your group.

Getting Traffic and Converting

SEO is designed to get you targeted traffic; especially all the off-page SEO you manufacture. However; once these visitors make it to your site, it is the on-page SEO that will make them stay and ultimately convert. Lead nurturing requires strong calls-to-action such as opt-in forms to an email list – after which you can then implement an email marketing strategy to keep yourself relevant to your targeted visitors. So, after employing the best known methods for obtaining quality backlinks, which will have the double effect of raising your site’s search engine profile as well as causing direct readers to link to your website, you employ other methods of SEO in a multi-pronged attack geared towards turning the traffic into leads. A strong lead nurturing campaign will then help convert those leads into customers using social media, email markteting and following up with a phone call.

Beyond the Search Engines

A second method of obtaining viable leads only touches on search engine results minutely; having a social media presence opens your business up to virtually countless opportunities to be shared and recommended within an ever-growing social network; which can span multiple social media outlets. There are so many online communities out there full of avid, interactive people that it can be worth it to go beyond using just the largest three – Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. They are the online equivalent of the most ancient but lucrative form of advertising: word-of-mouth.

Marketing using the social realm has another advantage: it isn’t nearly as susceptible to fickle changes to the search engine algorithm as SEO is. You can spend months developing great content (which will always help you rank well) and building backlinks to it using a particular method such as forum profiles, for example; only to have the worth of profiles be decreased by an algorithm change, which would result in a loss of backlinks and thus traffic. The social aspect of your marketing plan wouldn’t be affected much by these changes, and can help you keep your head well above water until you develop the other aspects of your SEO.
